No. Our platform streamlines how product development teams collaborate with the manufacturing partners that produce their most complex components. The actual production of the parts is dictated by those manufacturers and development teams using our tools.
So, is mfg.parts a marketplace?
No, we are a software platform for manufacturing design collaboration. While online middleman services serve a purpose, our platform is used by firms who rely on tight engineering collaboration with their manufacturing partners and internal design, quality, and supply chain teams. You will transact business with those people as you always have.
Can I work with my current manufacturing partners or customers through mfg.parts?
Absolutely! We purpose-built our platform so people at development and manufacturing companies can work directly with their existing partners. Everyone has unique requirements; why should we try to tell you how to do business?
What if a company I want to work with doesn't have an mfg.parts account?
Not a problem! If your manufacturing partner or customer does not yet have an mfg.parts account, simply invite them via the ‘Partners’ page. They’ll receive an invitation and we’ll help them set up a free account. It usually takes about 120 seconds to get set up.
What 3D CAD packages does the platform support?
We love all CAD packages equally! We allow native files from all of the top packages including Solidworks, Creo, Inventor, NX, and Catia. Of course, if you have STEP, parasolid, IGES, or any other generic files, we support those too.
Can I pay for mfg.parts with a purchase order?
